Rarely in a lifetime do we get the chance to be a part of something
that is as unique as a band of brothers playing with such synergy that you actually
feel the chemistry, history and passion resonate from the stage.
Ghost Road is that rare experience.
They have shared the stage with some of Australia's legendary musicians including among
others, Ian Moss, Paul Kelly, Jeff Lang, Phil Manning, Mal Eastick and Kevin Borich.
They have played at some of Sydney's most renowned venues including a sell out at The Basement
where they recorded their third album "Ghost Road Live".
Known at festivals around Australia as one of the country's most loved and respected rock blues
and roots outfits, they give their audience a show that stirs the soul as much it stirs the body into dance.
Their music, all self penned, is honest and gutsy.
A hard driving, hard grooving rhythm section features outlaws Brodie Yonon (drums) and Ben Hardman (Bass) ,
providing the foundation for brothers Steve and Beau Bennett who kick in with their own brand of Guitar,
Slide, Solo Vocals and Harmonies.
The lyrics reflect real life and genuine observations with a variety of moods from inspirational to a twist
of humour. There's something for everyone in their repertoire, and perhaps it is this "genuine connection" with
their audience that keeps the crowds asking for more.
Regardless of the reasons their popularity continues to grow, it's suffice to say that if you have not yet
experienced
Ghost Road, you're missing out on what may just feel like an amazing supernatural musical experience that will
stay with you long after they've finished the performance.
Playing at Festivals such as The Australian Blues Festival at Gulburn, Newcastle Blues Fest, Davistown Blues fest, The Railway Blues Fest, The Cool Creek Rhythms fest and more.
Venues such as The Basement have welcomed Ghost Road to play.
And to a full house
Appearing on NBN Channel 3 numerous times, interviewed by Doug Mulray not once but twice, and regarded as the most creative group by Keith Armatage of Songwriters Live, this band is destined to be one of Australia's finest and most popular Blues and Roots bands.
The band spend three months of every year at residency gigs on the snowfield's at venues in Perisher Blue, Smiggins Hole, Charlotte’s Pass and Thredbo, and have done so the last 6 seasons, evidence of their rising popularity.
Legendary musician Kevin Borich who has played with them several times states: “Ghost Road are a fantastic band, very talented and they write their own music. We had a great show!”
“They leave no stone unturned as they take you on a journey of, not only of their own work, but also of past blues styles and techniques.” (Spellbound Music Entertainment)
